TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION 

 

 

Bus transport is set up from Máze to

Mieron before the race at 09.00 and 11.00,

and after the race at 17.00. Bus journey from

Máze to Mieron takes about 45 min. Bus

ticket at 100 NOK can be purchased

onboard with cash or Vipps).

 

There will also be bus transportation from

Alta to Mieron at 07.30.. Bus ticket at 200

NOK can be purchased  onboard with cash

or Vipps).

To ensure yourself bus transportation, you

need to tick off for it by registering. We

cannot guarantee bus transport it you are

not registered.

 

We recommend as many people as possible

to park their cars in Máze, and take the bus to

Mieron before the race.

​

Bicycles will be transported in a bicycles trailer, a van or in a regular trailer, and will follow the bus at all time. The bicycles will be stacked together inside the van and the trailer. The bicycle transportation will be done on the owner's responsibility and it is the participant's own responsibility to wrap their bike if they deem this necessary.

Travel:

 

Alta- Máze / Mieron:

• Car: 71 km from Alta to Máze (1 hour).

        118 km from Alta to Mieron (1 hour and 45 min).

• Bus: Friday at 15.00,18.20 and 23.00 from Alta airport to Kautokeino. Return Sunday at 17.00 and 20.15. See bus schedule here.

 

Karasjok Máze / Mieron:

• Car: 128 km from Karasjok to Máze (1 hour and 55 min). 114 km from Karasjok to Mieron (1hr 40 min).

• Bus: Friday at 19.30 from Karasjok bus station to Gievdneguoika. Corresponding bus from Gievdeguoika to Kautokeino. Return Sunday at 17.00. See bus schedule here and corresponding bus schedule here.

Tromsø-Máze/Mieron:

• Car through Finland: 475 km from Tromsø to Máze (6 hours and 25 min.). 430 km from Tromsø to Mieron (5 hours and 50 min.)
